I have been working as an English language teacher at Het Saenredam since 2019. There are a lot of things I absolutely love about teaching – each student is different, therefore each day is, too – but most of all, I hope I can equip students with the right (linguistic?) tools and skills to explore and enjoy this world as much as I do. In my lessons, I try to focus on communicative skills, creative expression and vocabulary building.

Since 2021, I have also been working as an educational quality assurance officer at Het Saenredam, and (one year later) at Stichting OVO Zaanstad. The combination of teaching and quality assurance allows me to look at education from both a bottom-up and a top-down perspective. I’m particularly interested in innovative educational concepts, and I hope I get the chance to be involved in the process of founding a new school one day.
